“Where are the best places to host events in Upshur County?
What is this project?
This project is a web map that shows the locations of all of the facilities in Upshur County, West Virginia that are available to rent for events such as birthday parties, baby showers, family reunions, etc.
This web map is accessible from a mobile device, but you’ll have the best experience on a computer. A computer will allow you to see the filter options (indoor/outdoor, price range, handicap accessibility, etc.), whereas they’re cut off on a mobile phone.
What inspired this project?
I’ve seen people always asking for the phone numbers to different community buildings as well as people just asking for good locations to host their child’s first birthday or their baby shower.
What I learned from this project
I learned that there were a lot more places in Upshur County to rent than I thought. I also realized just how hard it was to come by information pertaining to these facilities.
